Springtime

I remember when I was growing up in Chicago there was a little saying, “April showers bring May flowers”. Well that may just be the case in LA this year. We’ve been getting a lot of rain lately with cold air. Usually by this time spring’s warm air has set in and my energy level is up and running. I love the spring.

These last few weeks I’ve been waiting for that surge of warm sunshine to kick me into gear, but the warm air has mostly come from my heater. I’ve spent quite a bit of time in colder climates so I know how to dress for it. It’s just that I live in LA and it’s confusing to have to layer with a scarf, sweaters and a warm coat to go out at night in April.

It’s not unusual to have weird weather. It seems that in every decade I’ve lived in there has always been some freak of nature event happening somewhere in the world. And in most centuries that I’ve read about there were intense weather conditions that were out of the ordinary showing up form time to time that got people’s attention.
