Loving Rats

To most of my New York friends, the fact that I love my rats, Carole and Nicole, as much as I do kind of trips them out. It’s a little weird to them. I guess it runs close to how I would feel if someone I knew had pet cockroaches that were their babies. That would be out of my sphere of understanding. I don’t know how I would ever love a cockroach.

The surprising thing to me about my rats is how loving they are. I’ve never sensed any love coming from a cockroach. But the first time I ever saw my rats all I could see was pure love inside of them. I would be surprised if I ever came across a cockroach with that kind of energy. I’ll let you know if it happens. So far I haven’t seen cockroach love.

I guess that all things being created equal, it stands to reason that anything in nature that exists would have to be filled with a life force energy of some kind, and maybe I’m just closed minded about cockroaches. Life itself is love to me, so I wonder what it would take for me to see love in a cockroach like I see love in my rats. Hmmm.
