Editing Tracks

We were in the studio editing tracks for the album. My producer, Robert Eibach, was getting 4 songs ready for a session we have next week with a bass player and a Latin percussionist on Tuesday night. It’s pretty amazing how spoiled I am now having Robert making everything sound just right. Raw tracks are just not what they used to be to me.

Scott Riedle, my ex-husband, is recording bass on all the songs. Scott likes me to refer to him as my friend now. He is a great friend and a very talented musician. We fell in love playing music together so it’s awesome that he’s playing on my record. He’s also a great guitar player and can even make magic on the keys so we may get him to do some of that.

Eddie Rouse, percussionist/actor/photographer and all around great guy, is coming in to add some groovy Latin rhythm to my songs. He’s recorded on a lot of albums that Robert has produced. Robert played me some of his work today and I knew my songs needed to have his energy with them. Everything just comes together the way it’s supposed to.

Blessings!
Laura
