Late Night Sessions

If I didn’t need sleep I could keep going and going like the Ever Ready bunny. I remember the first time I saw those commercials on TV. I hated them, but I still remember that pink bunny banging away on that drum. And I don’t buy Ever Ready batteries even though I know about them. Hmmm. How effective is that?

So Robert and I will be in the studio for a late session tonight. We’re sweetening the low harmony part on “Wakantanka” and doing a basic mix so I can submit a copy of the song with my grant proposal. It’s wonderful that he set up a late session with me to get this done. He’s been at work since 8am with no break. I’ll be bringing him some ice cream.

I’ve been up since about 8:30am and have been working all day. I’ll be up working after our session, too. All this effort to get things done is going to pay off. I heard someone say that 80% of what you put into your goal gives you 20% of your return. The last 20% of your effort gives you 80% of the payoff, so it’s important to push ahead no matter what.
