Busy Life

There’s a music manager I met named Mike Gormley who said something very simple that I have found to be true. “Activity brings activity”. In other words, when you want things to start happening, get busy. Do something, anything, just show up somewhere, talk to someone, and do that everyday. It will get things rolling, going somewhere.

I have no idea where being busy is taking me in my life even though I’m working on a new CD, working with Peace Flags By Kids and have a whole lot more to do than I did just a few weeks ago, and not knowing feels good. I wrote out new goals on October 17th because I got an email that said the energy that was around was good for that.

It’s fun to try new things or even old things when the opportunity shows up. It’s great to wake up in the morning and know that really cool things can happen in my day, even when I’m not looking. Some of the simplest things can keep me going, like laughing about something with a friend. I find it amazing that I have to schedule time to rest.
