In My Outside View

This month, I had to laugh when Iran’s President suggested that Israel be moved to Europe. I don’t know if I’m the only one who found that statement absurd and very funny. When I looked at his picture and the gleam in his eyes, it made me laugh even more. I didn’t see a love of humanity there. Who is this guy anyway?

I admit it’s easy to get caught up in illusions of grandeur when I’m isolated in my own little world of me, so reading about his mindset didn’t surprise me. Maybe he’s due for a vacation or he needs to get out more. Cabin fever can come on in unusual ways. Lack of exposure may be creating the distortion. I don’t think the guy really likes people.

Moving a country or changing one’s location isn’t going to fix a problem. A problem gets resolved on the inside of someone, not in the outside circumstance. And isn’t it interesting that grammatically it’s correct to say, “on the inside” and “in the outside”? I wonder where the President of Iran is on the inside of things. I’d like to see that picture.

Blessings!
