The Best Part of Gigging

I’ve been playing out in LA as a solo artist for almost a year and a half now, and about a year of that with my percussionist and assorted other musicians in the mix. And aside from the music, I have to say that the best part of playing is being at the regular venues I play every month. The relationships I am privileged to be in at these clubs are precious.

It is truly an honor to play at CAP Theater, Universal Bar & Grill, and Michael’s Pub. I love the people who book me, the people I meet and see and how fabulous the rooms are to play in. I’m lucky there are magic places that I get invited to perform in. It’s been great to stretch and grow artistically in a way I never got to before. LA raised the bar for me.

Next Friday, April 14th @ 8:30p, I’m playing in the Plush Lounge VIP Room at The Key Club in West Hollywood on Sunset Blvd. I’m booked for a date in May as well. It will be nice to play on the strip again and be in a venue that is so well known. I’d like to be a big artist one day and play the larger stages. There are halls and stages that I need to get on.
