6 Done, 4 More To Go

Today I was in the studio recording more lead vocals. We have 6 lead vocals done now and have 4 more to do. These took less time, for some reason. It was only an hour and forty five minute session. I’m always grateful when things go smoothly and I can do what I need to when it needs to be done. My producer, Robert was happy about it, too.

I saw some friends later on in the day and one of them mentioned to me that I was glowing. Every time I’m in the studio I glow. Friends have also noticed that when I talk about my music I light up inside. And when I perform I shine. There is something magical to me about connecting to my soul in my songs that is like nothing else.

I was talking to my mom today before I went to the studio. She’s really excited that I’m recording this album. She knows it’s important to me because for years she and my dad wanted me to give up my music and when I tried to do that it destroyed me on all levels of my being. I just wasn’t okay. I’m an artist and this is what I need to do in my life.
