Power

For a lot of people, power is equated to money, property and prestige. And while those things are very cool and carry some weight around here, especially in LA, I find that true power has more to do with what is going on inside of the person rather than outside appearances. Money, property and prestige can be fleeting, true power doesn’t change.

I used to think that people who had the big house, the fancy car, the fabulous wardrobe and the stuff that goes with it were powerful. On some levels they are, but I’ve met quite a few people who have all the stuff and they weren’t really powerful in their being at all. I didn’t find that they had any real connection to their soul and that’s where true power is.

When there is nothing on the inside to carry the outside, things will start to collapse in a person’s life. It happens all the time. It’s a part of growth in some ways. True power doesn’t go away and it comes from the inner connection someone has with their soul. It allows them to live from their heart. I say this because it is my truth as an artist.
