Putting It Together

Performing at CAP Theater tonight was the first gig I’ve had where I played the songs I’ve been recording lead vocals on in the studio and had to put singing the vocal back together with playing guitar at the same time. I was doing my best to remember all the “notes” my producer, Robert, had given me recording and it felt good to be on strings.

There’s something magical for me about working things out in front of live audiences and I’ve been doing that for over a year now in LA. Voyce played with me on percussion. We’ve been playing at CAP over a year and a few other places. Next Thursday, August 31st, we’re going to play at BB King’s at Universal City Walk. That will be fun.

BB King’s does live web casting now, so my parents can watch my show at their house in Tucson. I have a lot of friends that don’t live in LA, so I’m glad they’ll be able to watch my show in the internet. That is so cool to me. I’m excited for them to hear what I’m doing vocally now. Lonny, the director at CAP, said he could hear a difference tonight.

Blessings!
Laura
