It's My Birthday!

So this will be short because it's my birthday and I have things to do, places to go, people to see and I'm using a friend's comuter because my land line is fried for some reason, (thank you Mercury retrograde) and I'm in a really good mood. If I can get on another computer tomorrow for Thanksgiving then I'll be writing all about gratitude. I'm looking forward to a great turkey dinner with friends.

Name: Laura Cohn

Location: Burbank, California, United States

Growing up in Highland Park, IL, Laura Cohn was a creative performing artist. She loved to sing, tap dance, play guitar, draw and write stories. When she was in High School, she produced a student variety show for 2 years. Her parents enrolled her in flight training and she became a private pilot at 17. She graduated from Sophie Newcomb College at Tulane University with a B.A. in Political Science. Laura began writing music after she graduated college. Her first performance playing her music at a coffee house in Vail resulted in her being booked to play a festival in Idaho Springs and then being recorded in KBCO’s Studio C in Boulder. Her song “Silver Linings” was played on the station which began her journey as a professional singer/songwriter. Many performances, live radio shows, air play of her songs on radio stations, community television show tapings and recording sessions brought Laura through Colorado and Arizona before landing her in Los Angeles, CA. She then wrote, produced, and performed 2 one-woman shows of her music, (both of which were well received by audiences), which she later adapted into a screenplay. She is currently performing around LA.
