At Peace

I’m really lucky to have such amazing people in my life. We laugh and have so much fun together. It’s nice when the mundane becomes special because the people around me are so wonderful to be with. Maybe I’m just getting settled into my life and finding it easier to relax lately. Maybe I just value others more than I could before.

My birthday is next week and the best thing about it is that I’m finally the person I’ve always wanted to be. It’s not about the outside material stuff. I still drive the same car I bought 16 years ago. I’ve lived in the same apartment for the last 4 years. I haven’t become a millionaire, yet. It’s what’s inside that jazzes me.

There’s a quality of being comfortable with who I am and how I see what I’m doing here with others that is different for me now. It’s where I find I’m in happiness. There isn’t anything in me creating conflict today in how I relate to people, places, or things. I can appreciate the gifts that surround me and for that I’m very grateful. I like living that.
