Media Coverage Of Suicide Bombers Encourages Future Attacks
Los Angeles based singer/songwriter, Laura Cohn, would like the media to stop giving news coverage to suicide bombing incidents. “Psychologically, terrorist groups are rewarded when they see their story on television, radio and in print. The more attention they receive, the more encouragement they have to continue in their efforts”, Cohn said.
(PRWEB) December 10, 2005 -- Cohn feels that if terrorist groups fail to receive attention for their actions in the media “we would see a decline in suicide bombings and terrorist attacks.” Cohn states that “if a group’s actions are not acknowledged with news coverage, attacks will become ineffective in drawing attention to the group. They will have to seek other means to find an audience.”

She has become a philosophical teacher of sorts introducing concepts of awareness through her writing and her live performances.
