Kulak's Woodshed Open Mic Night

It was another fun open mic night at Kulak’s Woodshed. I signed up to play and was #26. I learn so much being in different environments and new set ups. Getting up, plugging in cold to play one song is a whole new thing to master for me. It’s a humbling experience to listen to so many people play and express their hearts so eloquently.

I learned something new tonight. The woodshed part of Kulak’s name has to do with musicians practicing. The guy who explained it said that folks would go out back to the woodshed to jam and called it woodshedding. In all my years of playing and hanging with musicians this was the first time I ever heard about that.

If you want to check out the variety of music at Kulak’s Woodshed, they webcast their shows live on the internet. Just go to www.kulakswoodshed.com, sit back and enjoy. You may just get inspired to go out back to the woodshed, storage shed or garage at your home and do some jamming.

Blessings!
Laura
