Living On A Planet

When Dessert Storm was in the news in the early 90s, I wrote a song called “Living On A Planet”. I was frustrated with the news and the way the war was promoted. I would say reported, but it seemed more like a media campaign to me than anything else. I recorded the song with some friends and was lucky to have some Colorado radio stations play it.

I’m about to start a new recording project and with the current escalation of violence in the Middle East with Israel and North Korea’s venture into long range missiles, it’s very possible that I’ll be releasing a new recording of “Living On A Planet” in the near future. I wasn’t thrilled with the invasion of Iraq, but I didn’t really have clarity on what to say.

The lyrics in “Living On A Planet” keep coming back to me. Maybe it’s because I have yet to live a year on this planet without a war going on somewhere in some way. Here’s a sample…”It’s just a ball. We’re living on a planet. Another war I just don’t understand it. It’s for us all, why do we have to damn it? We’re on a ball. We’re living on a planet.”

Blessings!
