Meeting People

One thing I’ve noticed is that connecting with people is pretty easy for me because I genuinely like people a lot. It’s a vibe thing that I think other people pick up on. There’s a comforting energy that shows up in a room when I like the people I’m with. In most cases, I don’t know much about people until I meet them and talk to them awhile.

I do know that because I like people in general, tend to be more supportive than judgmental, and usually find some way to be useful when I show up in a room that I have a pretty good time everywhere I go. It’s when I get caught up in wanting something when I show up with people that I get off balance.

More comes to me when I’m focused on taking care of what people need rather than thinking about what I think I want. I also see examples of that in other people’s circumstances. The person who is busy trying to get what they want doesn’t always see how that looks to others and how different things would be if they could approach life differently.
