Picking CD Songs
My producer, Robert Eibach, and I were at Del Oro Music choosing songs for my CD tonight. I played him roughly 17 songs. He chose the first 5 we will start recording this Friday. Then he picked 8 more that we’ll decide from to get the second 5. It was fun. Robert is a very low key kind of guy. We laughed a lot.
The first 5 songs we will start with for the recording are:
1. Miracle
2. Wakantanka
3. Somehow My Heart
4. Don’t Ask Me Why
5. Bright Blue Skies
It’s very cool to be scheduled to go into the studio to record soon. The majority of my week will be spent rehearsing these 5 songs so I can get the guitar part recorded in a short session on Friday. I’ll also be playing the other 8 songs a lot. All the gigs, sessions, rehearsals and hours writing songs I’ve spent over the years are now paying off.
