Exposure

There was a solicitation for artists who take risks, so I took the bait and answered the ad. It turns out there’s an artist coach working on a book who is looking for people’s stories. I was asked to write a 400 word story about myself and to send a jpeg picture that would be featured in the book. So I asked if there was any compensation for contributors.

It took a day for a reply to come back to me. The answer…No, but we hope you will value the publicity. Their books sell in B&N, Amazon, other outlets and MOMA. So I asked my friend who knows quite a bit about PR what he thought. After he read my 400 word story that I wrote he said the publicity would be good for me.

He also suggested that I write a book and find contributors who would be interested in getting publicity for themselves. So I’m looking for people that have succeeded in doing something they weren’t supposed to be able to do who would like some recognition for their accomplishments.
