"Whatever" and "Oh Well"

A friend of mine told me about someone who said that when she wakes up in the morning she says, “Whatever” and at night before she goes to sleep she says, “Oh well”. I relate to that. It’s hard for me to judge much these days. I have an opinion that‘s fluid. It seems like my opinion is the same on any given day, but it keeps moving like a stream.

I’ve come to the conclusion that my life is an illusion. I can safely say that because what I thought before seems different to me now. When people say that hind sight is 20/20, I wonder at what point 20/20 doesn’t change. It’s just so odd living a life here on Earth. And so much of it strikes me as really mundane. Maybe that’s just how my path is.

There is something nice about being in the fringes of society. Beyond the edge is pretty comfortable to me. It’s rare for me to get woven up in stuff. The fabric of life is cool. It’s nice to see it from a distance. It could be that my mainstream is just different than what I think of as mainstream. “Whatever” and “Oh Well” work fine for me with that.
