Information

There is so much information available to consume that it makes me grateful to have so many people in the world who can spend time reading what I don’t ever get to. I have books on my shelves that I haven’t had a chance to read. I have e-books and articles that are really of interest to me on my desktop and I haven’t even looked at them.

I remember a friend of mine told me that Einstein didn’t bother memorizing things. He was only concerned about knowing where to get certain information when he needed it. Then if he ever needed it he would know where to find it. If it was good enough for Einstein, it’s good enough for me. He was a smart guy in some ways.

Maybe I’m one of those people who isn’t destined to know very much anyway. In fact, I find I know less and less as time goes on. What I thought I knew has changed so much that it doesn’t really even matter that I thought I knew what I knew when I knew it. I do enjoy learning things. I just know now that what I learn may not be what I think I’m learning.
