Prime Minister Sharon

With Prime Minister Sharon in a coma and a transfer of power in Israel already taken place, I’m curious to see how the politics in the Middle East will play out. We have the Iranian president wishing for Sharon’s death and Pat Robinson saying that the stroke Sharon suffered is God’s wrath. I don’t know what Pat is talking about.

The God that I know is loving and kind. God doesn’t need to bother with wrath. We live in a world with cause and effect. If someone doesn’t take care of their health, doesn’t eat right, doesn’t exercise, and maintains a lifestyle with extreme stress and pressure over a long period of time, chances are good that they will suffer a heart attack or stroke.

That’s not wrath. That’s just poor physical maintenance. Taking care of a body isn’t that different from taking care of a car, although the body requires more maintenance. If you don’t do regular maintenance to take care of an engine, the car won’t run very well after awhile. Running a car or a body beyond suggested limits can cause breakdowns.

Blessings!
