A Declaration

Lately I’ve been seeing that there are no accidents in my life. I’ve also been learning to trust my intuition about when to do things and when not to do things. There are times when it takes very little effort for things to start happening and other times when a bull dozer couldn’t move anything. Things happen when they are supposed to.

While I used to think that I knew how things were supposed to be, I’ve realized that I have no idea how things will come together. When I was injured in 1998, I made a declaration of sorts, for myself, that I would be better than I ever had been and would be given a great opportunity because of where the experience would bring me to.

I had no idea that I was in for a lot of dark days that felt horrible and that I would be dealing with a major health crisis for 5 years. But the result of the experience has made me better than I ever have been, on all levels. My life is filled with so much love and so many amazing moments because of the person I am today. So my declaration came true.
