Table Manners

I saw my friend, Paula Jane Newman, in a play called “Table Manners” today at Theater 40 in Beverly Hills. It’s one of three plays in The Norman Conquests which are written as what the director called a Rubik’s cube for theater. The plays are happening simultaneously in how they are written and can be seen in any order.

It was really nice to see my friend perform live on stage. She is awesome. Some of you might have seen Paula in the movie, “Pirates of the Caribbean” with Johnny Depp. She was the maid in the film. She’s a very dedicated actor and very good at what she does. All her years of training and voice over work have paid off.

The nicest part about seeing my friends in shows, (other than being entertained) is knowing that they are doing what they love, getting paid for it, and building their repertoire for future opportunities. It’s important for an artist to keep doing what they do and stay in the process. Success comes to those who don’t give up.

Blessings!
Laura
