Repeat Business

One thing that’s nice about working with the same people is that a certain kind of relationship builds over time and getting things done becomes very efficient. It also is fun to find that the people who I’m doing business with are growing with me onto bigger and better things. Even when we work on separate projects, the mojo carries over.

Next week, Voyce McGinley, III and I are playing a show together at CAP Theater to celebrate our 1 year “birthday” of performing there. We met because the director at CAP, Lonny Stevens, told me to get other musicians to play with me when I came back. Voyce answered my ad on craigslist looking for a percussionist. We clicked right away.

It will also be the 3rd time for me working with Gil Benzeevi, my photographer. He answered an ad I place in the E-Lert and his shots are awesome. Even with no lighting to speak of he can get magic happening thru a camera. I do well with people who answer my ads. There is a manager who answered an ad of mine. We’re in the initial talk phase now.
