Competition

I know that competition is big in sports and other arenas in life. Most businesses look at their competition to see what they need to do. A lot of people consider themselves to be in competition with one another, depending on what they’re involved in. There’s a lot of adrenaline and energy given towards winning in a competition.

I personally function better when I’m just being of service to God when I show up doing something. I’m not a religious person, but I am deeply spiritual. You see, God wakes me up in the morning and, being an artist, I’m very connected in my heart to what creates me, sustains me, and gets me through the day.

If I happen to do what someone would call “better” than someone else, than it’s probably just some purpose I am fulfilling. I’m a person who is involved with action not results. It takes daily work to build something of significance over time. It’s the little things I do everyday that turn into my success over time. It’s not being in competition with anyone.
