Memories

I was visiting a friend’s neighbor who is selling the house he grew up in. His mom passed away in the spring. I could tell that his mom was a person who paid attention to detail. The way she had things organized, the needlepoint work she had done, the way her closets were arranged indicated that she put a lot of love in her home.

I could see that his mind was being flooded with memories of growing up in the house. It was like a surreal tour listening to him talk about when things were remodeled and how rooms had been changed over the years. I could feel his mom’s presence while we were there as he was talking to us. It’s interesting how the energy of a soul feels.

It seems like he is at significant turning point in his life now. Selling the house a person grew up in creates a definite shift in the fabric of someone’s life. My parents sold the house I grew up in after I graduated from college. It cut the cords on some things that I didn’t really understand at the time. I understood it more looking at this man today.

Blessings!
