Candy Apple Red
My car is being painted candy apple red at Earl Scheib today. It has a pearl finish to it. Did you know you can get coupons online with them? I was excited. My car is a 1989 Honda Civic. I’m the original owner. The car was red when I got it. I wasn’t looking for a red car the day I got it. I just needed a car and this was what they had for my budget.
I was 60 miles west of Chicago driving on a freeway when my gear shifter started falling through the bottom of my old car. With a lot of prayer and careful driving, I got back to the city and to a shop in Old Town. They said it would cost $29 for an estimate to fix it. I walked 2 doors down to the Honda dealership and told the sales guy I needed a car today.
The shop was going to charge me $400 to fix the old car, a Plymouth Champ. The dealership gave me $700 cash for the Champ and my new Honda to drive home in 6 hours later. I love America. My car has lived with me in 4 states and has around 137,000 miles on it. Candy apple red will be a nice upgrade for my car.
