Low Overhead
I know that it’s fashionable to have stuff and I do like beautiful things. Expensive homes, luxury cars, jewelry, and pricey restaurants are all fun and nice. But I find that I have more freedom keeping my life simple with a low overhead. It reduces my stress level when it’s easy for me to pay my bills. To me a low overhead is luxurious.
It also allows me to be more focused on kindness rather than on just making money. I like making money, don’t get me wrong. But being consumed with having to make a lot of money distorts my personality in a way that I’m not comfortable with. I like putting myself in a position where money comes in to me because what I’m doing is beneficial.
Money pours into causes that are useful to people. Bill Gates makes a lot of money because he has created something that is of benefit to people’s lives. Otherwise no one would buy what he makes. No matter how much money I make I always look to keep my overhead low relative to the money I have coming in. That keeps me in good shape.
