Mood Ring

I bought a mood ring. I like it because it has girly hearts and flowers painted on the band. It changes colors when my body temperature changes. When my finger is warm, the background is dark blue and the hearts are yellow. When my finger gets cooler, it can go from green to yellow to red to black and the hearts are pink.

What I find amusing about wearing it is that I’ve noticed the temperature of my finger has very little to do with my mood. I like how the colors change on the ring and seeing if my hands are warm or not. I haven’t always paid attention to how warm my hands are. With the ring, I get a visual on where my hand temperature is at.

The reason this is useful is because when my fingers are cold it’s hard for me to play my guitar. I’m more fluid in my performance when I’m warm. My voice is better, too. I do my best to keep my body warm at all times. Yes, it does get cold in LA in the winter, especially at night. I’ve acclimated to warmer temperatures, so 50 degrees is cold now.
