Understood

Two people in the last two days have told me that most people wouldn’t understand what I’m about as an artist or what I talk about. I wish people would understand. I wish that what I’m about as an artist would be obvious to people and what I talk about would make perfect sense to anyone. I like to think I’m pretty normal as far as people go.

I used to think I was unique until I got to know more people. I think one thing I share in common with most people is that I like to feel good and I go for what feels good in my life. I think our emotions are basically the same. I think that when I tell the truth about what I experience people can relate to that. The truth is heard when it is spoken.

I think my honesty helps other people know that they aren’t alone and they aren’t weird. They’re just here. Maybe most people aren’t here to do what I do. They’re here to do what they do. Beavers dig, cattle graze, trees live where they are in the ground, and flowers bloom. There’s a reason we are in each day we live in. I’m in mine.
