Fun Playing

Lately, I’ve been playing Universal Bar & Grill every week and I absolutely love it! It’s so much fun to play there. Tonight, Jeff Laine, Julie Gribbles and WuT were on the bill. There was another band that was going to play, but I needed to get home to sleep. I also got to catch up with Danielle Eggnew, another singer/songwriter.

I think what’s nice playing the same room, is that it becomes a great home stage to work out on. I get to try new things and fine tune my band set songs. It’s great to see the people who show up there to catch the show and meet new people every time. When I lived in Telluride, CO, I developed a deep love for humanity because of all the people I met.

Because of my lyrics and what I talk about on stage, after I finished performing people would talk to me about all kinds of stuff they wouldn’t normally get into a conversation about. It was also safe to talk to me because I was a stranger. It was in those spaces of time that I got to see how much love and beauty people carry in their hearts.
