Thunder

I keep hearing thunder, which is so odd for me being in LA. It wasn’t until a couple of years ago that I started noticing thunder showing up when it rained. I grew up in the Chicago area and thunder storms were a regular part of life there. This thunder is really loud, which usually means the storm is close. This one is pretty cool.

There was just a loud crashing noise and the power went out for a few moments. I guess I should keep more candles in my apartment. Maybe this is my reminder to keep emergency items on hand. I keep extra water and food around. Now it’s starting to rain. I love the sound of pouring rain, especially when I’m inside.

The temperature feels like it has dropped about 20 degrees outside. Mother Nature is amazing. I’m supposed to go out later on tonight and now I just feel like crawling under a blanket and staying home. I’m singing tomorrow night at Universal Bar & Grill, so being out of the cold rain is probably a good idea. I’m into warm and cozy.
