Mistakes

I’m learning to be more forgiving of mistakes, mine and others. After all, there’s a lot to be learned from mistakes and they seem to set up a whole chain of events that turn out to be beneficial eventually. It’s that eventually moment that can be tough for me to get to sometimes. That’s when I have to get over thinking that I know how things should be.

It also feels better to me to be forgiving. I’m not really in a position to judge anyone else for doing what they feel is important to them. My friend, Sandy, and I were talking the other day and she mentioned that there is a lot of innocence behind what people are doing. I could see her point. Most people do what they were taught to do.

Usually when I make a mistake the first thing I do is pray to God and ask for my mistake to be made into a blessing. If what I did affected another person in a difficult way, I pray for them to receive miracles and love for having to put up with me in my process of whatever I thought I was doing. My intention is to be helpful even in my mistakes.
