Live Rehearsals
The pay off from doing that, especially in non-ideal venues for music, is that my level of performance is not determined by the surroundings that I’m in. I need to be a competent performer whether or not the guitar sounds right or people are paying attention to what I’m doing. I’m the entertainment, it’s not about me. It’s about people having fun.
When I’m doing my job, I’m in a groove and people can hang with the vibe. The real pay off is being able to play my songs in the recording studio straight through without making any mistakes. That saves time and money. It also helps me be professional, which is a key issue for people who are looking to work with an artist. Play live and play often.
Blessings!
