Recording Tracks

It’s fun to be recording an album again. My guitar tracks are done and the good news is that they didn’t need to be edited. My producer told me that the couple of strums that he would fix can be done in the mixing. That saves time and money. I’m working on some new vocal style ideas that my voice coach gave me to try out. It’s keeping things fresh.

Voyce McGinley, III is adding in his percussion magic in our next session. Recording artist, Tim Fagan, (who is an amazing guitar player), is coming down to the studio to check out the project. He and Voyce play shows together a lot and Voyce had talked to me about recording with Tim before. Now we’ll get to make that happen.

With Tim adding lead and harmony guitar parts, the songs will have a great sound to them. Bass will be in the mix and I’m thinking cello in some places. Sax is always a favorite for me and I’m deciding between clarinet and harmonica for some things. Of course adding some beats could be interesting. I love creating.

Blessings!
Laura
