Reason Doesn't Have To Mean A Thing

That’s from a song I wrote called “Take The Question”. It’s in the bridge. The lyric says, “I remember when I wanted all the answers. All I ever found were more damn questions. Then somewhere down the line I found a reason. Reason doesn’t have to mean a thing. I’ll take the question for my answer. Let me wonder through the ages in my time.”

The line came to mind today because I’ve been dealing with a person that has decided that she needs to get into other people’s business, and not in a very nice way. We all have a story of what we think we’re doing on any given day, so whatever. But it raised the question in me about what I’m seeing in the picture.

When I look at her, I realize that what I see may not be what she has going on in her mind at all. If I choose to see her as a beautiful child of God, it doesn’t matter what she does as long as I stay true to myself in integrity. If I can’t be of help to someone then I’m best to stay out of their way.
